Wood cased windows are no problem for plantation shutters

Casement windows can easily be fitted for plantation shutters with our L-frame installation.

These are photos are from a customer in Fredericksburg, Texas.
An interesting thing to note here is that these windows are cased, meaning they were built with wood frames around the opening. We have a solution for that- wood cased windows, with or without a recessed area, and doors are treated with an “L-Frame” installation. This frame style is installed in a range of conditions: from partially to fully recessed within a wood cased area, to completely surface mounted on a window with no recess or a door. There are many variations of this frame style to deal with virtually all non-sheetrock applications.

It fits in beautifully and looks original to the house. We did 4 ¼” louvers with the horizons side tilt rod in SW Kilim Beige paint to match the trim, with the oil rubbed bronze hinges.
Our Design Consultant Brittany Binder said this about the project "I love the 4 ¼” louvers with the Horizon side tilt because it gives you a great view thru and feels very open. It also gives lots of light when you want it."
